New Ford F-150 Raptor Performance and Capabilities
With a powerful 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6, the new F-150
Raptor produces a cool 450 horsepower. Though this is clearly a truck
that strives to go off-road, its all-terrain tires, widened body and
specialized suspension actually delivers smooth highway traveling on top
of its 4x4 and off-road capabilities. The twin-turbo V-6 is paired with
a 10-speed automatic, while its all-terrain tires and specialized
braking systems work seamlessly to create dynamic off-roading
experiences. The F-150 Raptor can also haul up to 1,200 pounds in its
bed and tow up to 8,000 pounds.
New Ford F-150 Raptor Safety and Technology
Like the other F-150 models in this lineup, the Raptor
includes a bunch of handy and helpful tech features. A standard
infotainment touchscreen interface allows you to command a number of
functions to stay connected while you're on the go. This infotainment
suite is highlighted by the highly easy to use Android Auto and Apple
CarPlay smartphone integration systems, allowing you to access features
and apps from your compatible mobile device. On the safety front, a
forward collision warning system with automated emergency braking come
standard, while you can add additional driver aids like lane-departure
warning, lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring with rear
cross-traffic alert.
